The Child Abuse Prevention Council informs, trains and advises the community about keeping children safe from harm. Council members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. We provide training events on how to properly report possible cases of child abuse.
This program allocates $15,000,000 for purposes of professional development and educational stipends to be administered by Local Planning Councils (LPCs) for teachers in Transitional Kindergarten (TK), and teachers in the California State Preschool Program (CSPP).
