Family Strengthening Partnership

The Family Strengthening Partnership (FSP) is a public-private partnership and a framework to deliver key services to high-risk families. The FSP uses an integrated approach which supports and improves protective factors for family members. FSP services include home visiting, intensive care management and information and referral. Other services linked to the FSP include substance abuse treatment and homeless prevention services.

These services are organized and monitored by a team of professionals and delivered at eight different Family Resource Center sites throughout the County, with home visits and service delivery as appropriate to the circumstances and needs of different families.

The FSP was developed out of the Integrated Family Support Initative (IFSI), and includes program improvements to enhance the intensity, quality, efficiency and accessibility of services for high-risk families. FSP planning included extensive research into the development of the model, best practices, and the program's requirements for training, assessment, and staff needs to ensure that the program could meet the needs of our community.
