Solano CARES - Stipends for Education
This portion of the Solano CARES
Plus/Professional Development Program falls under the First 5 California CARES Program requirements. Providers working in any licensed child care center or licensed family child care home who meet minimum eligibility requirements are eligible to participate in this portion of the program.
A limited number of stipends are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone interested in participating in this portion of the program should contact
Shelia Smith, Professional Development Program Coordinator at 707-421-7229 ext. 124 as soon as possible to complete a Professional Development Plan.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Currently work at a licensed child care program in Solano County for pay at
least 15 hours per week with at least one child, not your own, under the age of 5.
Earn less than $60,000 (Gross income for center based; Adjusted gross income for family child care) working as a child care provider/early educator.
Must have worked 9 consecutive months at current site at the time of submitting stipend application.

The Solano CARES/Professional Development Program is a project of the Solano County Child Care Planning Council and is administered by the Children's Network of Solano County.
