Children's Network was established in 1982 in response to community demand for better oversight of children's services. In partnership with governmental and non-governmental entities, parents and community members, the Children's Network strives to identify children's needs and to serve the community through education, advocacy and coordination of children's services and collaborative associations such as the Children's Alliance, the Child Abuse Prevention Council, the Local Child Care Planning Council and the Integrated Family Support Services Initiative. In addition, the Children's Network develops essential tools for providers and policy makers, such as the Children's Report Card and the ChildNet Results Manager, to assure the best use of available resource for local children and families.
